THE FISHERMAN'S CAT
BVW SHOW RECORDING
Round 4 in Building Virtual Worlds (BVW) course at ETC was the 'Story Round" in which our storytelling skills were put to test. We had to create a compelling and cohesive story for the audience and much of the grades were based on their reaction and content of the story. And boy did we get some "WOWs" !!! The platform in use is the Microsoft Kinect. The world also made it into the 'BVW Show' for Fall 2012 where the best worlds built during the semester were showcased.
'CardioActive' is my second semester project in which our client, Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) has asked us to create an exercise game. The objective is to find out what factors go into making an exercise game not only fun to pick up but also motivates you to continue playing it for a longer period of time. For more details, feel free to check out out official website :
"Drought" is a virtual world built as a Round 1 assignment in my BVW course. The objective of the assignment is to create a virtual world in which character A (in my world, a cloud) is afraid of Character B (Sun) and the guest (Wind) will help character A overcome his fear. The platform used is the Playstation Move. Oh and by the way, it was my B'day when I presented the world !!!
BVW JURY PRESENTATION
'Time-machine' is a virtual world where the player is in a physical time machine travelling across time. During his journey he is disrupted by the Evil 'Vic Vile' who has stolen parts of the time machine. The player has to overcome three game 'challenges' posed by Vic Vile in order to win back the parts and get home safely. Also the audience has to guide the player inside as he cannot see the screen.
